For a variety of reasons it is sometimes important for young people to learn from home, rather than full time school learning. A referral is needed from the hospital, medical specialist or CAMHS before home tuition can be put in place.
On receipt of the referral form the Home Tuiton Co-ordinator will contact the family and arrange an initial meeting during which a timetable will be drawn up.
At the conclusion of Home Tuition a report of work progress and attainment is sent to the pupil’s home school.
Information for Schools

It is a legal requirement for schools to provide a pack of work for students on Home Tuition. This needs to include resources, textbooks, work for the student, lesson planning with objectives and half termly plans.
Schools also need to provide attainment levels for students in all subject areas and any information about special educational needs.
While a student is receiving Home Tuition your school will continue to receive funding for that student and the student will stay on your roll.
